Throughout my experimentation of my artistic style, I really wanted to view the work of others upon deciding how to do my own. Because of the covid-19 quarantine and the closure of the school, we did not go on as many gallery visits and tours as initially anticipated. I did however tour a few galleries early my Junior year, and was able to visit a few colleges to do workshops my Junior year as well. In doing the small workshops, I grew upon some skills like learning perspective, and working with new or relatively unexplored materials like charcoal. I also gained an understanding of what sort of projects and mediums I would be working with as I decided to move onto a career in art and design as well. I received an early first-hand look at what I would be experiencing in the future. Below are some of the tour photos from differing sources like the Milwaukee Public Art Museum, UW-Milwaukee campus when the senior (then Junior) art students presented our gouache paintings, live studio drawings, UW-Stevens Point student work tours, and MIAD student work tours.
